The Sculptor's Attitude

I woke up early today, excited over all I get to do before the clock strikes midnight.

I have responsibilities to fulfill today. I am important. My job is to choose what kind of day I am going to have.

Today I can complain because the weather is rainy or...I can be thankful that the grass is getting watered for free.

Today I can feel sad that I don't have more money or...I can be glad that my finances encourage me to plan my purchases wisely and guide me away from waste.

Today I can grumble about my health or...I can rejoice that I am alive.

Today I can lament over all that my parents didn't give me when I was growing up or...I can feel grateful that they allowed me to be born.

Today I can cry because roses have thorns or...I can celebrate that thorns have roses.

Today I can mourn my lack of friends or ...I can excitedly embark upon a quest to discover new relationships.

Today I can whine because I have to go to work or...I can shout for joy because I have a job to do.

Today I can complain because I have to go to school or...eagerly open my mind and fill it with rich new tidbits of knowledge.

Today I can murmur dejectedly because I have to do housework or...I can feel honored because the Lord has provided shelter for my mind, body and soul.

Today stretches ahead of me, waiting to be shaped.

And here I am, the sculptor who gets to do the shaping.

What today will be like is up to me.

I get to choose what kind of day I will have!

Our Inner Voice

Trials one another
lead us directions
that we need learning
to make some corrections.
Time after time
and day after day
trials come bestowing
another which way.

They're one another
of which they each show
lessons through trials
of which way to go,
but if we don't listen
to our inner voice
we will again then
make a bad choice.

Of course we will error
sometimes and agin,
but it's those errors
that'll help you to win.

You Are A Diamond

Never despise life's fiery trials.
They are God's ways of bringing out the best in you.

Always remember, you are like a Diamond.
And more a diamond is cut, the more it sparkles.

Look For The Essence

An instance is many
and also so few
when many instances
come and accrue.

Maybe the instances
might in a way
simulate beginnings
in different array.

For in an instance
the time might bestow
lesser of minutes
that ones truly know.

Yet in an instance
ones also could see
lessons concluding
to you and to me.

An instance for many
might not be so true
for they might not know
what they are to do.

So if an instance
is displaying some signs
look for the essence
to make better times.

Very Beautiful Thought

Never Cry For Any Relation In Life

Because For The One Whom You Cry

Does Not Deserve Your Tears

And The One Who Deserves

Will Never Let You Cry.................

Treat Everyone With Politeness

Even Those Who Are Rude To You,

Not Because They Are Not Nice

But Because You Are Nice..............

Never Search Your Happiness

In Others

Which Will Make You

Feel Alone,

Rather Search It In Yourself

You Will Feel Happy

Even If You Are Left Alone...........

Always Have

A Positive Attitude In Life.

There Is Something Positive

In Every Person.

Even A Stopped Watch Is Right

Twice A Day..........................

Happiness Always Looks Small

When We Hold It In Our Hands.

But When We Learn To

Share It,

We Realize How Big And Precious It Is!...

Focus On Self

Some of us waste our time waiting for people
to live to our expectations.

We are so concerned about what others are doing
that we don’t do anything ourselves.

Its not so important what others are upto;
compared to what you are doing.

Focus on what you do, your work; Not on others.

Motivational Poem - Hope

If you can look at the sunset and smile,
then you still have hope.

If you can find beauty in the colors of a small flower,
then you still have hope.

If you can find pleasure in the movement of a butterfly,
then you still have hope.

If the smile of a child can still warm your heart,
then you still have hope.

If you can see the good in other people,
then you still have hope.

If the rain breaking on a roof top can still lull you to sleep,
then you still have hope.

If the sight of a rainbow still makes you stop and stare in wonder,
then you still have hope.

If the soft fur of a favored pet still feels pleasant under your fingertips,
then you still have hope.

If you meet new people with a trace of excitement and optimism,
then you still have hope.

If you give people the benefit of a doubt,
then you still have hope.

If you still offer your hand in friendship to others that have touched your life,
then you still have hope.

If receiving an unexpected card or letter still brings a pleasant surprise,
then you still have hope.

If the suffering of others still fills you with pain and frustration,
then you still have hope.

If you refuse to let a friendship die, or accept that it must end,
then you still have hope.

If you look forward to a time or place of quiet and reflection,
then you still have hope.

If you still buy the ornaments, put up the Christmas tree or cook the turkey,
then you still have hope.

If you still watch love stories or want the endings to be happy,
then you still have hope.

If you can look to the past and smile,
then you still have hope.

If, when faced with the bad, when told everything is futile,
you can still look up and end the conversation with the phrase...
"yeah....BUT.." then you still have hope.

Hope is such a marvelous thing. It bends, it twists, it sometimes hides,
but rarely does it break. It sustains us when nothing else can.

It gives us reason to continue and courage to move ahead,
when we tell ourselves we'd rather give in.

Hope puts a smile on our face when the heart cannot manage.

Hope puts our feet on the path when our eyes cannot see it.

Hope moves us to act when our souls are confused of the direction.

Hope is a wonderful thing, something to be cherished
and nurtured, and something that will refresh us in return.

And it can be found in each of us, and it can bring
light into the darkest of places.

Never lose hope.

~ Many Thanks to Robert

Follow Your Dream

Follow your dream…
Take one step at a time and don’t settle for less.
Just continue to climb.
Follow your dream…
If you stumble, don’t stop and lose sight of your goal.
Press to the top.
For only on top can we see the whole view
Can we see what we’ve done and what we can do
Can we then have the vision to seek something new
Press on.
Follow your dream.

Small Dose of Hope....

When I was in my first year of college, I hit a stretch where every area of my life was a disaster, I felt hopeless and alone, and more depressed than I knew was possible.

On one such day, I was walking from class across campus to catch my bus home, head down, fighting tears of total despair, when a guy came down the sidewalk toward me. I had never seen him before. Embarrassed at being seen in such an emotional mess, I turned my head away and hoped to hurry past. I figured he'd walk on by, but he moved until he was directly in front of me, waited until I looked up, then smiled.

Looking into my eyes, this stranger spoke in a quiet voice: "Whatever is wrong will pass. You're going to be ok, just hang on." He, then, smiled again and walked away.

I can't explain the impact of that moment, of that man's unexpected kindness and unconditional caring! He gave me the one thing I'd lost completely: hope. I looked for him on campus, to thank him, but never saw him again.

That was thirty years ago. And I've never forgotten that moment. Over the years, whenever I see someone in distress, I think of that old man and try to give a glimmer of hope in the dark wherever I can -- carrying groceries for people, sitting with cranky babies in airport lounges while the mother got up and got herself food/restroom, talking to tired couples at the checkout line, it could be anything.

If you keep your head up, your heart will show you the place that need a small dose of hope.

Today Is A Beautiful Day

A blind boy sat on the steps of a building with a hat by his feet. He held up a sign which said: "I am blind, please help." There were only a few coins in the hat.

A man was walking by. He took a few coins from his pocket and dropped them into the hat. He then took the sign, turned it around, and wrote some words. He put the sign back so that everyone who walked by would see the new words.

Soon the hat began to fill up. A lot more people were giving money to the blind boy. That afternoon the man who had changed the sign came to see how things were. The boy recognized his footsteps and asked, "Were u the one who changed my sign this morning? What did u write?"
The man said, "I only wrote the truth. I said what u said but in a different way."

What he had written was:

"Today is a beautiful day & I cannot see it."

Do u think the first sign & the second sign were saying the same thing?
Of course both signs told people the boy was blind. But the first sign simply said the boy was blind. The second sign told people they were so lucky that they were not blind. Should we be surprised that the second sign was more effective?

Moral of the Story:

-> Be thankful for what you have.

-> Be creative. Be innovative. Think differently and positively. Invite the people towards good with wisdom.

Persistence

In 1947, Lester Wunderman was arbitrarily fired from his advertising job in New York. But he felt he still had a lot to learn from the head of the agency, Max Sackheim. So the next morning, Wunderman went back to his office and began working as he had before. He talked to co-workers and clients; he sat in on meetings - all without pay. Sackheim ignored him for a month.

Finally, he walked up to Wunderman: 'Okay, you win', he said, shaking his head. 'I never saw a man who wanted a job more than he wanted money.' Well, guess what? Wunderman went on to be one of the most successful advertising men of the century. He's credited with having invented preprinted newspaper inserts, plus subscription cards such as those used by Time-Life Books and the Columbia Record Club; ideas that have produced billions of dollars in profit. Now,advertising may not be your thing - but action must be. What are you willing to do to achieve your dream? Work without pay? Refuse to quit? Success begins at the beginning, and it continues with consistent action.

Now, ponder these thoughts:

1) You don't have to be great to start, but you have to start to be great.
2) The first two letters in the word goal, are GO.
3) Some people dream of worthy accomplishments, others wake up and do them.
4) Anybody who brags about what they're going to do tomorrow probably did the same thing yesterday.
5) You will never be what you ought to be until you're doing what you ought to be doing.
6) If you're having trouble thinking outside the box, you're probably in the wrong box. Get out of there!
