Inspired by These Words of Wisdom!

1. There is no doubt in my mind that there are many ways to be a winner, but there is really only one way to be a loser and that is to fail and not look beyond the failure
~ Kyle Rote Jr

2. Most of the times we do manage to win over our weaknesses and achieve progress but sometimes we find that we are defeated at the wrong moment by our own weaknesses and thus experience failure. So instead of experiencing progress it is sometimes the case that we find ourselves moving back. In order to bring benefit to others and to ourselves, we should recognise and remove even the last trace of weakness that is working within ourselves. For that we need to have a constant checking about the real cause of the weakness and remove it. Such checking and changing helps me to overcome my weaknesses.
~ Brahma Kumaris, Mt Abu

3. The difference between greatness and mediocrity is often how an individual views a mistake
~ Nelson Boswell

4. Errors become mistakes when we perceive them and respond to them incorrectly.
Mistakes become failures when we continually respond to them incorrectly.

5. Failure is really a matter of conceit. People don't work hard because in their conceit, they imagine they'll succeed without ever making an effort. Most people believe taht they'll wake up some day and find themselves rich. Actually, they got it half right, because eventually they do wake up.
~ Thomas Edison

6. Great minds have purposes; others have wishes.
Little minds are subdued by misfortunes; but great minds rise above them
~ Washington Irving

7. When involved in something new, there is usually more fear for our failure than there is faith in success. So although we put in sufficient efforts towards achieving the target, we are not able to experience success. This fear neither makes us give our best to the task, nor does it ensure our success in anyway. We need to maintain the faith in our mind first about our own success. Because if we think in our mind that we have failed, we have failed even before we have actually attempted the task. What we need is a constant experience of success in the mind, which makes us increase the speed and intensity of our efforts.
~ Brahma Kumaris, Mt Abu

Happiness Is The Present Moment....Enjoy Your Present Moment!!!

The gift of time that can always bring us happiness is the present moment. In remembrance of God and full consciousness of the present we have power over time. We have determination to say " I will do it now". There is no telling what time is going to bring. No knowing what will happen in the next moment. No guarantee for life. So to live each moment with all accounts settled, all duties done, everything completed is to truly live in this moment now. The ever-present company of God reminds us to make the best use of the present.
~ Brahma Kumaris, Mt Abu

Yesterday is but a dream, and tomorrow is only a vision,
but today well lived makes every yesterday a dream of
happiness and every tomorrow a vision of hope.
~ unknown

Happiness comes of the capacity to feel deeply, to enjoy
simply, to think freely, to risk life, to be needed.
~ Storm Jameson

Happiness is not a station you arrive at, but a manner of traveling.
~ Margaret B. Runbeck

To find reasons to be happy is to increase happiness. When the mind searches for reasons to be sad and sorrowful, even situations with no great significance are seen with a vision of negativity. So there is constantly an expression of words and actions that reflect the need for sympathy and reassurance. On the other hand, when there is the search for happiness, then everything is positive giving happiness. It is like wearing coloured glasses. Whatever colour my glasses are, the whole world is coloured with it. Then, I am no longer able to perceive and recognize negativity and I am able to remain happy with everything.
~ Brahma Kumaris, Mt Abu

It is not length of life, but depth of life.

Make Your Thoughts Positive with Inspiring Quotes

"Be kind and merciful.
Let no one ever come to you without coming away better and happier."
~ Mother Teresa

To be sincere in removing weaknesses is to have the power to overcome them. While it is important to recognize strengths, it is also important to recognize and acknowledge weaknesses. With honesty, when we understand our weaknesses, with sincerity we are able to work towards overcoming them. We are then able to find the right method too. Let us take a positive thought connected to our weakness and remind ourselves of that thought at least 5 times a day. For example,if our weakness is anger, let us remind ourselves of our inherent peace with thoughts like - "I am a being of peace, peace is inherent within me." When we practice sincerely with this we find that strength emerges finishing weakness (peace emerges finishing anger).
~ Brahma Kumaris, Mt Abu.

Remember the five simple rules to be happy:

1. Free your heart from hatred.
2. Free your mind from worries.
3. Live simply.
4. Give more.
5. Expect less.

Learn from the past...
Hope for the future...
Live in the present.
~ Ken Lancaster

No one knows about your honesty or integrity unless you give them examples of it.

There is a little difference in people, but that little difference makes a big difference. That little difference is attitude. The big difference is whether it is positive or negative.
~ W. Clement Stone

Character is doing the right thing when no one is watching.
~ J. C. Watts

To make thoughts as pure as the actions is to be truly elevated. There is usually attention on the self not to perform any negative acts. There is also considerable attention not to speak any words that are harmful or negative. But very rarely is there that attention on the thoughts. Because of this a lot of negative thoughts tend to remain in the intellect causing trouble for me. I need to understand the fact that my thoughts form the basis for my words and actions. The more I pay attention to make my thoughts positive, the more it will have a positive impact on my words and actions too.
~ Brahma Kumaris, Mt Abu.

Confidence Is Key To Success !!!

With confidence, you can reach truly amazing heights; without confidence, even the simplest accomplishments are beyond your grasp.
~ Jim Loehr

One important key to success is self-confidence. An important key to self-confidence is preparation.
~ Arthur Ashe

Confidence is having faith in someone or something. It means you trust that you have what it takes to handle whatever happens. It brings the strength to try new things. I practice confidence when I learn my own strengths and weaknesses, when I practice until I master something, when I am willing to try new things, when I am free from worries.
~ Brahma Kumaris, Mt Abu.

If you have no confidence in self, you are twice defeated in the race of life. With confidence, you have won even before you have started.
~ Marcus Garvey

Confidence doesn't come out of nowhere. It's a result of something... hours and days and weeks and years of constant work and dedication.
~ Roger Staubach

The ones who have faith are able to believe in succeeding even in the most difficult circumstances. They will never say "I will try to do it" but their words reflect the confidence, which make them say, "I will do it". They are able to make best use of the available resources and also find yet undiscovered resources. When I am able to work with faith and believe in the success of a task, I'll naturally fill it with positive and powerful vibrations. This naturally ensures that the task is successful. Also people provide maximum support, as I am totally committed and confident.
~ Brahma Kumaris, Mt Abu.

Make The Right Decisions at the Right Time

Opportunity knocks at the strangest times,
It's not the time that matters But how you answer the door.
~ Steve Gray

"Time is a companion that goes with us on a journey.
It reminds us to cherish each moment, because it will never come again. What we leave behind is not as important as how we have lived."
~ Captain Jean-Luc Picard

"Life is all about timing... the unreachable becomes reachable, the unavailable become available, the unattainable... attainable. Have the patience; wait it out. It's all about timing."
~ Unknown

The time to repair the roof is when the sun is shining.
~ John F. Kennedy

The benefit attained from meditation is the "incarnation of economy". This means that you have clarity of thought and have the ability to make the right decisions at the right time in every situation. When you make the right decisions consistently, then you achieve all your spiritual goals, desires and objectives with minimum energy. This means that you experience the greatest splendor with minimum expenditure. There is very little or minimum wastage of time, efforts and resources. Clarity of thought therefore is the ability to do the right things the very first time and never have to repeat things. To repeat things is very costly in time, money, resources and loss of opportunities. When you achieve the things that are under your control with minimum energy, then you are contented and where there is contentment there is happiness.
~ Brahma Kumaris, Mt Abu.

Move Forward with Motivational Thoughts!!!

"It's never too late to be what you might have been"
~ George Eliot

"Life consists not in holding good cards,
but in playing those you hold well."

"Every lucky happening and every lucky break are little gifts from God
above that are ours to freely take."
~ Helen Steiner Rice

"Remember, a kind and thoughtful deed
or a hand outstretched in a time of need is the rarest of gifts,
for it is a part, not of the purse, but a loving heart."
~ Helen Steiner Rice

A foolish person knows their strengths,
a wise person acknowledges their weaknesses
and makes allowances for them,
while a godly person seeks to overcome them.

"Our plans may be interrupted by storms, but God's plans never are.
In fact, the storm is part of His plan.
If we don't abandon ship, the winds of God will blow us right
where we belong--no matter how off course we feel."
~ Ron Hutchcraft

Success Based on Great Common Sense

"If you start to think the problem is `out there,' stop yourself.
That thought is the problem."
~ Stephen Covey

The successful man will profit from his mistakes and try again in a different way.
~ Dale Carnegie

"You were Made For Success - created for a unique and magnificent destiny!
Your future is limited only by the boundaries of your dreams and ideas and the size of your heart. Imagine for yourself a life of total success and happiness.
Dream the extraordinary!
Pursue your passion with faith and tenacity and you will bring that destiny into reality."
~ Chris Widener

My success was not based so much on any great intelligence but on great common sense.
~ Helen Gurley Brown

To have the determination to do things immediately is to ensure success. The one slogan that is good to remember is 'Now or never'. If we are not able to use the thought we have immediately we will never be able to, because the strength of the thought begins to gradually reduce till it doesn't seem important anymore. Also there might not be enough time for it in the future. Let us first think of something that we want to do and take a thought, "if I do it now it will happen or it can never happen." When we think in this way we will not postpone but do what is required immediately.

~ Brahma Kumaris, Mt Abu.

Keep Your Energies Focused Towards The Goal.

Goals are the barriers that limit our ability to reach our true potential.
- David V. Ellison

Live your life each day as you would climb a mountain. An occasional glance towards the summit keeps the goal in mind, but many beautiful scenes are to be observed from each new vantage point.
- Harold B. Melchart

You are never too old to set another goal or to dream a new dream.
- Les Brown

Have the courage and the wisdom and the vision to raise a definite standard that will appeal to the best that is in man, and then strive mightily toward that goal.
- Harold E. Stassen

Difficulties increase the nearer we approach the goal.
- Johann Wolfgang Von Goethe.

While moving towards my destination, I tend to get distracted with even the little things that happen. Even a small negative or positive incident is enough to distract my thoughts from my destination. I am sometimes so busy with such things that my vision moves away from my destination and I stop moving forward. I need to first clarify my goal. Once I have done this, I need to take care that my vision is focused on it. Even when situations come by, trying to distract me I need to remind myself that these are only side-scenes, which are not important for me. It is more important to keep my energies focused towards the goal.

~ Brahma Kumaris, Mt Abu.

You can Make A Difference!!

He's spent nearly half his life in an iron lung and the other half in a wheelchair.

With so many personal challenges, surely he's been in no position to improve the quality of life for others. Or has he?

Ed Roberts personified the power of a single, committed moment of decision. He became the first quadriplegic to graduate from the University of California, Berkeley, and served as director of the California State Department of Rehabilitation.

A tireless advocate for disabled people, he has lobbied to secure all people's right of access and supplied many of the innovations that made these laws enforceable.

There are no excuses. YOU can Make A Difference!!

Make three decisions now that will change your health,

your career,
your relationships,
your life - and act upon them.

Motivate Yourself with Positive Thoughts

One must learn by doing the thing, for though you think you know it, you have no certainty until you try.
- Aristotle

The world is divided into people who do things and people who get the credit. Try, if you can, to belong to the first class. There's far less competition.
- Dwight Morrow

You will have to take charge of the whole movement, not as a leader, but as a servant. Do you know, the least show of leading destroys everything by rousing jealousy?
- Swami Vivekananda

Patience is passion tamed.
- Lyman Abbott

No one can make you feel inferior without your consent.
- Eleanor Roosevelt

No pleasure philosophy, no sensuality, no place nor power, no material success can for a moment give such inner satisfaction as the sense of living for good purposes, for maintenance of integrity, for the preservation of self-approval.
- Minot Simons

An inner power needed to make accurate decisions is the power to tolerate. Tolerance is not about having to put up with or endure. It's about respect for difference. It is about being able to appreciate diversity, the beauty in that diversity and difference. We need confidence to allow others to do what they are doing. Rigidity is a sign of lack of self-confidence and self-respect. It is better to have peace with someone than to have 100 percent perfection and tension. The quality of interaction comes from our ability to stop (that is not to be affected or influenced by what the other is doing). When I learn to stop, then I become more perceptive of the situation and am able to do make the right decision.
- Brahma Kumaris, Mt Abu.

High Achievers Plan Their Work & Work Their Plan

If we are facing in the right direction, all we have to do is keep on walking.
- Buddhist Proverb

All high achievers plan their work and work their plan, for they are keenly aware that "luck" is most often being prepared to take advantage of a situation.
- Unknown

We learn wisdom from failure much more than from success.
We often discover what will do by finding out what will not do;
and probably he who nevër made a mistake nevër made a discovery.
- Samuel Smiles

Do the thing you fear to do and keep on doing it...
that is the quickest and surest way ever yet discovered to conquer fear.
-Dale Carnegie

What is now proved was once only imagined.
- William Blake

Have the courage and the wisdom and the vision to raise a definite
standard that will appeal to the best that is in man, and then strive
mightily toward that goal.

Great Inspirational Thoughts

Right actions for the future are the best apologies for wrong ones in the past.
- Tyron Edwards

"If you want others to be happy, practice compassion. If you want to be happy, practice compassion."
- The Dalai Lama

Forgiveness is all-powerful. Forgiveness heals all ills.
- Catherine Ponder

Self-restraint is a manifestation of greater power than all outgoing action. ... All outgoing energy following a selfish motive is frittered away; it will not cause power to return to you. But if restrained, it will result in development of power. This self-control will tend to produce a mighty will, a character which makes a Christ or a Buddha. Fools do not know this secret; they nevertheless want to rule mankind.
- Swami Vivekanand

"The principles you live by create the world you live in; if you change the principles you live by, you will change your world."
- Blaine Lee

"The people who get on in this world are the people who get up and look for the circumstances they want, and, if they can't find them, make them."
- George Bernard Shaw

Empowerment comes with Inspiring Thoughts

Whatever happens in life is the requirement of our growth.
- Rosie Cash

"Consciously or unconsciously, every one of us does render some service or other. If we cultivate the habit of doing this service deliberately, our desire for service will steadily grow stronger, and will make, not only our own happiness, but that of the world at large."
- Mahatma Gandhi

“There is no moment like the present. The man who will not execute his resolutions when they are fresh upon him can have no hope from them afterwards: they will be dissipated, lost, and perish in the hurry and scurry of the world, or sunk in the slough of indolence. “
- Maria Edgeworth

What a man is contributes much more to his happiness
than what he has, or how he is regarded by others.
- Arthur Schopenhauer

Always do your best, and forget the rest. When things go
wrong, just remember this to shall pass.

"When your ready to give up on someone, remember why you held on."
- Anonymous

"Procrastination is the seed of self-destruction."

Realize Your Potential

A certain man planted a rose and watered it faithfully and before it blossomed, he examined it.

He saw the bud that would soon blossom, but noticed thorns upon the stem and he thought, "How can any beautiful flower come from a plant burdened with so many sharp thorns? Saddened by this thought, he neglected to water the rose, and just before it was ready to bloom... it died.

So it is with many people. Within every soul there is a rose. The God-like qualities planted in us at birth, grow amid the thorns of our faults. Many of us look at ourselves and see only the thorns, the defects.

We despair, thinking that nothing good can possibly come from us. We neglect to water the good within us, and eventually it dies. We never realize our potential.

Some people do not see the rose within themselves; someone else must show it to them. One of the greatest gifts a person can possess is to be able to reach past the thorns of another, and find the rose within them.

This is one of the characteristic of love... to look at a person, know their true faults and accepting that person into your life... all the while recognizing the nobility in their soul. Help others to realize they can overcome their faults. If we show them the "rose" within themselves, they will conquer their thorns. Only then will they blossom many times over.

Begin to See Yourself .....

Begin Again
by: Collin McCarty, Source Unknown

One of the best things we can do in our lives is this:
Begin again.

Begin to see yourself as you were
When you were the happiest and strongest you've ever been.

Begin to remember what worked for you
(and what worked against you),
And try to capture the magic again.

Begin to remember how natural it was when you were a child --
To live a lifetime each day.

Begin to forget the baggage you have carried with you
For years:
The problems that don't matter anymore,
The tears that cried themselves away,
And the worries that are going to wash away
On the shore of tomorrow's new beginnings.

Tomorrow tells us it will be here every new day of our lives;
And if we will be wise,
We will turn away from the problems of the past
And give the future -- and ourselves -- a chance
To become the best of friends.
Sometimes all it takes is a wish in the heart to let yourself ..
Begin again.

Believe in Yourself...

“We are responsible for what we are, and whatever we wish ourselves to be, we have the power to make ourselves. If what we are now has been the result of our own past actions, it certainly follows that whatever we wish to be in future can be produced by our present actions; so we have to know how to act.”
- Swami Vivekananda

"Man often becomes what he believes himself to be. If I keep on saying to myself that I cannot do a certain thing, it is possible that I may end by really becoming incapable of doing it. On the contrary, if I have the belief that I can do it, I shall surely acquire the capacity to do it even if I may not have it at the beginning."
- Mahatma Gandhi
