Success Principles

A big flood hit a village.
Everyone was evacuated and fled for safety, except for one man who said, "God will save me. I have faith."

As the water level rose, a jeep came to rescue him but he refused help and said, "God will save me.I have faith."

As the water level rose further, he went up to the second floor, and a boat came to help him.
Again he refused to go saying, "God will save me. I have faith."

The water kept rising and finally he climbed to the roof.
A helicopter came to rescue him, but he said, "God will save me. I have faith."

Finally he drowned.

When he came face to face with his Maker he angrily commented, "I have complete
faith in you. Why did you ignore my prayers and let me drown?"

The Lord replied, "Who do you think sent the jeep, the boat, and the helicopter?"

SUCCESS PRINCIPLES :

* We must be accountable for what we do and not blame others for our shortcoming.
* We have to take the necessary action to help ourselves, rather than waiting, wishing and wondering what is happening in life.
* Nobody will help you unless you first decide to help yourself.
* Take action right now and do not waste any minute.
* You are responsible for your own failure or success!!

Think on This....

"A hero is an ordinary individual who finds the strength to persevere and endure in spite of overwhelming obstacles."
--Christopher Reeve, Actor and Speaker

"Be not afraid of life. Believe that life is worth living, and your belief will help you create the fact."
--William James, 19th Century psychologist

“If opportunity doesn’t knock, build a door.”
-- Milton Berle

Think on this...

It seems to be a common mistake that people want to wait
until 'things are good' before feeling happy, or satisfied.

When you consider the fact that there are many people in
the World in much worse situations who are happy, this
mistake becomes apparent.

Our old enemy pessimism is a biased way of thinking. If you
are going to consider all the negatives about a situation,
you are lying to yourself if you do not also consider the
possible positives.

Negativity can become a habit, and one that comes naturally
to human beings. But balanced thinking can become a habit
too, even if it requires a bit more practice.

Be Grateful for What You Have.....

Be Grateful
by: Peter Gerhard, Source Unknown

Maybe God wants us to meet a few wrong people before meeting the right one so that when we finally meet the right person, we will know how to be grateful for that gift.

When the door of happiness closes, another opens, but often times we look so long at the closed door that we don't see the one which has been opened for us.

The best kind of friend is the kind you can sit on a porch and swing with, never say a word, and then walk away feeling like it was the best conversation you've ever had.

It's true that we don't know what we've got until we lose it, but it's also true that we don't know what we've been missing until it arrives.

Don't go for looks; they can deceive. Don't go for wealth; even that fades away. Go for someone who makes you smile because it takes only a smile to make a dark day seem bright. Find the one that makes your heart smile.

May you have enough happiness to make you sweet, enough trails to make you strong, enough sorrow to keep you human, enough hope to bring you joy.

Always put yourself in another's shoes. If you feel that it hurts you, it probably hurts the other person, too.

The happiest of people don't necessarily have the best of everything; they just make the most of everything that comes along their way.

The brightest future will always be based on a forgotten past, you can't get on well in life until you let go of past failures and heartaches.

When you were born, you were crying and everyone around you was smiling. Live your life so that when you die, you're the one who is smiling and everyone around you is crying.

Success Of Life

Though good may come of practice,
This primal truth endures;
The first time anything is done,
It's done by amateurs.
- Art Buck

I am done with great things and big plans, great institutions and big success. I am for those tiny, invisible, loving, human forces that work from individual to individual, creeping through the crannies of the world like so many rootlets, or like the capillary oozing of water, which, if given time, will rend the hardest monuments of pride.
- William James

The way to make a true friend is to be one. Friendship implies loyalty, esteem, cordiality, sympathy, affection, readiness to aid, to help, to stick, to fight for if need be. Radiate friendship and it will return sevenfold.
- B.C. Forbes

The wise learn many things from their enemies.
- Aristophanes, "The Birds"

It is no use saying "We are doing our best".
You have got to succeed in doing what is necessary.
- Sir Winston Churchill

People who change their way of life and begin to think about making spiritual progress also begin to suffer from the tongues of detractors. Whoever has not yet suffered this trial has not yet made progress, and whoever is not ready to suffer it does not even endeavor to progress.
- Aurelius Augustinus

What do we live for if not to make the world less difficult for each other?
- George Eliot

- Rose Lane

He deserves Paradise who makes his companions laugh.
- The Koran

The nonviolent approach does not immediately change the heart of the oppressor. It first does something to the hearts and souls of those committed to it. It gives them new self-respect; it calls up resources of strength and courage that they did not know they had. Finally it reaches the opponent and so stirs his conscience that reconciliation becomes a reality.
- Martin Luther King, Jr.

Empowered Yourself from Lessons of Failure

Lord, are you trying to tell me something?
For...

Failure does not mean I'm a failure;
It does mean I have not yet succeeded.

Failure does not mean I have accomplished nothing;
It does mean I have learned something.

Failure does not mean I have been a fool;
It does mean I had enough faith to experiment.

Failure does not mean I have disgraced;
It does mean I have dared to try.

Failure does not mean I don't have it;
It does mean I have something to do in a different way.

Failure does not mean I am inferior;
It does mean I am not perfect.

Failure does not mean I have wasted my life;
It does mean that I have an excuse to start over.

Failure does not mean that I should give up;
It does mean that I should try harder.

Failure does not mean that I will never make it;
It does mean that I need more practice.

Failure does not mean that you have abandoned me;
It does mean that you must have a better idea.
