Empower Yourself with Inspiring Thoughts

Our worth is determined by the good deeds we do,
rather than by the fine emotions we feel.
~ Elias L. Magoon

To have begun is half the job.
~ Horace (65-8 BC), "Epistles"

Life is like a blanket too short. You pull it up and your
toes rebel, you yank it down and shivers meander about your
shoulder; but cheerful folks manage to draw their knees up
and pass a very comfortable night.
~ Marion Howard

Usually, terrible things done with the excuse that progress
requires them are not really progress at all, just terrible
things.
~ Russell Baker

We are at the very beginning of time for the human race.
It is not unreasonable that we grapple with problems. But
there are tens of thousands of years in the future. Our
responsibility is to do what we can, learn what we can,
improve the solutions and pass them on.
~ Richard P. Feynman

Wisdom is knowing what to do next,
skill is knowing how to do it and
virtue is doing it.

The prizes go to those who meet emergencies successfully.
And the way to meet emergencies is to do each daily task
the best we can.
~ William Feather

Kindness is the sunshine in which virtue grows.
~ Ingersoll

The one who considers himself as a server is the one who can remains stable in all situations. In all that we do, if we have the consciousness of being a server i.e., the one who is available for bringing benefit to those around us in one way or the other, we can be stable. When we have this consciousness, we would naturally have no expectations either from people or situations and we will be stable. Each day it is necessary for us to take the thought that each person we meet should take something (even if it is a good wish) from us and no one should go away empty-handed. When we do this, we will be able to be free from expectations and we can naturally be stable.
~ Brahma Kumaris, Mt Abu.
